In the latter situation there are also two options.  The first is removing the old pavement, grading and re-compacting the existing base, and laying a new layer of fresh asphalt on top, giving a clean, new look to the parking lot.  The second option is to pulverize the old pavement with a machine known as a rotary mixer (think giant roto-tiller for asphalt).  This pulverized pavement is then graded and compacted, being recycled as the base material for a fresh layer of asphalt.  All of these services are performed and managed by our team of experts with decades of combined experience.
